Portrait – double, or single

The concept of "double" holds a greater significance than that of "single." It's a universal truth that we all crave more in life - more intimacy, understanding, empathy, friendship, and love. These are the fundamental human desires that make life worth living. Without experiencing these emotions, life seems incomplete and flawed. However, it's often challenging to express these feelings openly, and some may even feel ashamed to admit them to themselves.

It's a paradox that we don't talk about the things that matter most. It's from this realisation that I created a series of nine graphics called "Double Portraits." Each image depicts a man with another person, and even when he tries to escape into solitude, the other person doesn't allow him to do so. The viewer can judge whether this is the case or not.

These prints have been featured in numerous publications and large galleries, and they serve as a reminder that we, humans need someone to share our lives with. The "double" experience is what makes life truly fulfilling.
