Jolanta Johnsson is a Polish artist based in Boxholm, Sweden, working in painting, printmaking, and sculpture. Her practice centres on oil painting, mixed media on paper, linocut graphics, and sculptural works combining steel and wood. Johnsson explores two main themes: landscape and the human figure. Inspired by Scandinavian nature, her landscapes evolve from observation toward abstraction, examining structures of growth and harmony. Her figurative works reflect on the human condition and the experience of existing between opposing forces such as life and death or good and evil. Working in a semi-abstract visual language, she invites viewers to engage in personal interpretation and dialogue.
