About This Piece
Say "beach" and most people picture golden sand and warm afternoons. This isn't that. A rocky shore doesn't invite you to lie down — it invites you to walk, to look closely, to go quiet.
The stones are the work of wind, water, and time: smoothed and weathered into shapes that turn the shoreline into an open-air gallery. In Scandinavia these beaches hug the still water of inland lakes, rugged and calming at once, all earthy tones and clean air. And when the northern lights move overhead, the grey stones seem to wake — grounded and otherworldly together, the ordinary turned strange and luminous.
This is my landscape theme: not a scenic view but an emotional one, observed nature tipping toward feeling. A place that stirs something and holds it.
An original drawing. Signed.
