About This Piece
Grey is neither black nor white. It lives in the space between — which makes it the truest colour for reality, and for what happens between two people.
Two faces, close together: physically near, emotionally somewhere else. Their grey eyes hold the ambiguity of the whole connection — understanding and uncertainty at once. It's a moment most relationships know: where closeness and separation coexist, where the important things stay unspoken yet fill the room.
That's what the grey between them means. Not love, not indifference; not unity, not division. An emotional limbo, held in shades rather than absolutes.
I worked it entirely in gradations of grey on purpose. With no vibrant colour to distract you, there's nothing to look at but the feeling — and the space between the figures, which you're left to read for yourself.
A signed graphic print.
