About This Piece
The title is a brave attempt to illustrate what's written in just four letters. You could call it banal — and I'd agree. There may be no more banal word than this one, repeated by so many people on so many occasions. And yet there's something in it that makes us reach for it again and again: the simple desire to feel it, and to have it returned.
It seems complicated, maybe impossible. Fortunately, love isn't rational. It arrives unbidden, and in moments of closeness it carries two people off to a world of their own, a private planet no other couple has ever visited. No two loves are alike.
One drawing can't hold all of that — it would take an endless series. For now, there is this one.
