About This Piece
A linocut inspired by nature, black and white, with one tiny hole at its center. The print offers an abstract take on a tree's structure — textured lines, intricate detail, the kind that rewards closer looking.
Does the beauty of nature need understanding to be felt? Yes and no. Knowing how a tree lives makes me admire it more; I look and find confirmation of what I half-remember, the satisfaction of naming a part whose function I understand. We're curious creatures that way.
But then there are the places we can't name — that we've never experienced and can't explain. The tiny hole is one of them: a symbol of the unknown. It doesn't close the image; it opens it.
So I invite you to step into that seemingly empty hole. Something new may be hidden behind it.
