Fear in art

Fear in art

Fear in art

Is fear present in art? More specifically, what about the work itself? What is there to fear? Artists are currently free; in fact, not any theory or style limit them. You can do anything; consequently, any work can be a work of art. Thus, does the question arise: who is to recognise them?

Recognition in the arts

To gain recognision and acknowledgment – undoubtedly, it must be a pleasant feeling. However, not all artists achieve this. Alternatively, one could say – not many artists get it. If an artist set himself the goal of gaining recognition, then one could say that he decided to kill his art. Nevertheless, this decision would not be a physical obstacle to creation. One can be in the studio and work. Conversely, this decision, on the other hand, is a mental obstacle. Indeed, it is a barrier to one's own artistic truth.

Fear of the unknown

But let's leave this problem. Instead, I would like to write about the fear of the unknown. Indeed, it is present at the beginning of each new image. Furthermore, I am aware of some skills I have. In addition, I know that I have the opportunity to paint a picture that will be some, maybe not the worst. However, this is not a reason to paint. On the contrary, painting as performing a well-mastered skill makes no sense. Rather, painting is a way into the unknown. Consequently, there must be a desire to explore. WHAT?! Despite the fact that artists discovered a lot, they did everything in their art. Yes, but me, myself did not yet discovered all that. Thus, this is my chance. Ultimately, art is like a huge cloud that will absorb every artist and find a place for him. So, why is fear present?

My limitations

Fear of clashing expectations with my own limitations. Moreover, where do these expectations come from? Specifically, they arise from the desire to create something new. Indeed, these are bold intentions. Furthermore, the creation of the universe is perfect in its completeness - the Creator did it in six days, and "saw that it was good." In addition, to invent all creatures and give them the right to live is unimaginable creative omnipotence! Consequently, we, the people, got a little bit of it. As a result, we tire of our desires. Although we strive to implement them, we never meet them completely.

Ultimately, I stand in front of a blank canvas and I'm afraid.
