About This Piece

A bird nest carries a quiet beauty that speaks of life, patience, and mystery. Hidden in the grass, a little oil painting depicting 3 eggs in a nest captures this delicate moment. The three bird nest scene reflects the wonder of stumbling across new life, enclosed in fragile shells, waiting to emerge.

When walking through tall grasses, I often pause and look closely. Suddenly, a three bird nest appears before me, resting gently among leaves and soil which create a nearly abstract dense structure. The round nest holds three pale blue eggs. Instead of focusing on biological accuracy, I emphasize the feeling of discovery—those fleeting seconds when nature reveals its quiet secrets.

Unlike scientific illustrations, my painting does not aim for strict accuracy. Instead, it celebrates the symbolic meaning of nests. My bird nest artwork offers a tribute to all nests, honouring the tireless labor of birds and the quiet wonder they bring to everyday life. It reminds us that the wild still thrives around us.
