Hidden Logic

The land around my home is varied: forest, meadows, and lakes ringed by trees. On still, windless days the lake turns to a mirror, and the trees reflect in it perfectly — as if they wanted to look at themselves and confirm their own beauty.

What appears then is symmetry. Nature loves to play with it: the exact repetition of a form and its mirror image. You see it everywhere, most clearly in the veins of a fallen leaf, which I pick up each autumn just to admire how precisely nature repeats them — then sometimes deviates, inventing a fanciful new version.

I sense that hidden logic in the landscape, some structure everything rests on. So I chose geometric forms to signal its presence beneath the green.
