Holding Ground

The world around this flower doesn't rest. It moves in every direction at once — lines that could be topography, or neural pathways, or the hum of something that has no name yet. The whole background vibrates, dense and unresolved.

And at the center: stillness. The flower holds its ground, dark crimson deepening toward black at its heart, petals neither reaching nor retreating. It simply is, with a heaviness that has nothing to do with delicacy.

This is not a gentle painting. It is a painting about presence — the kind that doesn't ask permission, that organizes everything around it without trying to. The kind you recognize in certain people, certain moments, certain places you can never quite forget.
