A woman amid a vibrant thicket of plants, a bird perched on her open hand. Her flowing dress sways to reveal the line of her body, her wavy hair sweeps back, and seen in profile she recalls the timeless poise of a Greek sculpture. There's a reason for that: she is Demeter, goddess of harvest and fertility, at home among flourishing plants and nesting birds.
Weary for a moment, she lowers herself and extends her hand, quietly inviting the bird to join her — so the two of them can share a moment of stillness in the lush green and the warmth of a summer afternoon.
