Letters from the Malexander Studio
A letter from the studio, once a month.
The stories behind the paintings — and the first look at new work, before it goes anywhere else.
I don't send a newsletter. I send letters. Once a month, from the studio in Boxholm — what I was living or questioning while a piece was being made, the thinking inside the work, and the pieces I've just finished. Written to one person, not a list.
It's for people who feel the difference between decoration and recognition — who want their walls to say something, and who are drawn to the same territory the paintings come from: the human figure and the landscape, and the quiet space between them.
Each letter holds three things: the true story behind a work, first access to new originals and editions, and now and then a book, a poem, or a piece of music that lives in the same world as the paintings.
