In Red Major

Step close and the red pulls you into a thicket — sunlight breaking into spheres behind half-closed eyes, branches and round playful shapes tangling at the edge of recognition. This is summer at its most alive: heat, movement, the rhythm of growing things.

It's one of my semi-abstract paintings where nature stops being scenery and becomes feeling. Geometric forms meet organic ones; nothing settles into a single answer. Some people stand in front of it and feel energized. Others find an unexpected calm inside the boldness. That openness is deliberate — what you see today may shift the next time you look, which is how a painting stays interesting for years.

Hung against a neutral wall, it becomes the heart of the room rather than its decoration.
