Superwoman

Superwoman — A Painting for the Room Where You Get Things Done
Some words we reach for as the highest praise. Superwoman is one of them. She is beautiful and kind, capable and warm — the one who holds everything together and still finds a smile. Ask any woman if she recognises her, and she will. Ask whether she always wants to be her, and the answer is more honest, and more complicated.
That quiet tension is what this painting is about. The woman here faces two directions at once — present here and there, holding more than one life in her hands at the same time. I wanted to paint that without judgement: not the pressure of being perfect, but the grace it takes to carry so much. It is my way of saying I see you to every woman who lives this.
She is the third piece in a series, and for me she marks a passage — from delicate girl to a woman fully aware of herself. While I was working, I went back to illustrated magazines from the 1920s, where women already wore the "superwoman" label, usually in service to someone else. A century later, the word still carries that weight. That is what I wanted to hold up to the light.
Where this piece belongs
This is a painting for a working room — a study, a home office, the corner where you think and decide and create. Hung on the wall above your desk, she becomes quiet company: a reminder of your own strength on the days you need it most. At 70 × 50 cm she is easy to place, large enough to anchor a wall but never overwhelming, and she settles comfortably into a space you already use every day.
She is a one-of-a-kind original — never reproduced. Made with a mixed technique of monotype and collage, her colour built up from offset, acrylic and crayon, the work rolled through the graphic press many times until it found its final form. Each piece is signed, ships with a certificate of authenticity, and arrives carefully packaged with shipping included.

If she speaks to you — or to a woman you admire — she's ready to come home.

Why make a print you can only pull once? Monotype is a journey into the unknown, where chance, ink, and texture create one truly unrepeatable image — and that's exactly what makes it so captivating.
