Abstract oil paintings
Abstract paintings do not emerge in isolation; they are born from the depths of inspiration derived from personal experiences and visual encounters. Nature, in particular, serves as a profound wellspring of inspiration for me. The resulting paintings, which encapsulate this creative journey, can be found and acquired in my online gallery.
The finished oil painting
The completion of an oil painting is a decision solely entrusted to the artist. However, this decision is not always definitive or absolute. Time serves as a crucial companion to the artist, as it allows for a transformation in his perspective. It is through the passage of time that hidden elements are unveiled, and the logic behind the painting becomes clearer. Consequently, the finished painting is returned to the easel for further refinement.
At this juncture, an intriguing process commences: I am filled with anticipation, eager to discover whether I will continue along the same path I initially embarked upon when I first began working on the painting. Alternatively, will I veer off in an entirely different direction? Ultimately, the finished painting never fails to astonish me once again.
Over the years, I have revisited numerous paintings which are presented in the gallery. As time elapses, my comprehension deepens, and I increasingly understand the fact that Leonardo da Vinci spent twelve years perfecting the Mona Lisa.

In 1998 I wanted to place two figures in a landscape, and it would not work. Then I picked up a pair of scissors and began cutting the matrix away. What emerged from under the blades became the Human series — and taught me that form is the architecture of every work.

There is a word we reach for when we want to say the highest thing about a woman. Not beautiful, not accomplished, not kind — though we mean all of those. We say: superwoman. I have been thinking about that word for a long time.

The woman in this painting faces two directions at once — present here and there, needed in both. A monotype-and-collage reflection on the word "superwoman": who invented it, who it serves, and whether women ever asked to be super.
